An Up Do!

Seeing as I rarely ever go out with my hair up, I decided to do something different before I had my hair cut on Wednesday (the one that's just gone). I looked through some of Cibu17's videos and decided to go for the 'Parisian Updo'.
These pictures was taken after 3ish hours after initially putting my hair up, hence it looking a bit limp!
1) I prepped my hair with TIGI Ego Boost & CIBU Tsu Shine
2) Sweep hair up at the back and twisted it around until your done
3) I'm not sure how I can go about explaining the rest properly but I shall try!.. Fold the twisted hair inwards, hold onto it and smooth it out.
4) Use bobbypins to secure it in place, I used 4 but could have got away with 3.
5) I used a bit of CIBU Origumi all around to smooth flyaways and to finish it all off!

Philosophy Goodies!

My father went to New York last week (business purposes sadly, otherwise I would have joined him!) and he had some time to pick up some Philosophy goodies from Sephora that I requested!

On my list was:
- Melting Marshmallow Lip Shine = LE (smells just like marshmallows)
- Raspberry Sorbet Lip Shine (took a sniff and didn't like this that much personally - me being fussy again - anyone want to buy?)
- 2x Melting Marshmallow cream = LE (smells like chocolates, yum!)
- Vanilla Birthday Cake shower gel (won't be touching this till I use my other bath stuff up!)
- Peppermint Hot Cocoa shower gel = LE (again, won't be opening this up till my other bath stuff gets used up!

& yes, of course I have obviously paid him back for his troubles :)

Getting the Most Out of LUSH's Fairy Tail!

Fairly Tail, being a sugar scrub, I suspected would disintegrate within 2/3 washes and would be hard to store... And my research confirmed this. So before I took this yummy scrub into the shower, I decided to smash it against the sink in it's bright yellow paper bag and pop it into a couple of LUSH's black pots.
One of the pots were from my LUSH AOBS cleanser and the other from my LUSH Love Lettuce face mask. It filled up both pots perfectly!

Aww look at the lil mouse looking at me so innocently! But it seemed happy to be in the pot ;)

This way I can use Fairy Tail with ease and get up to, I reckon, 10+ uses out of it!

Haul & A Mini Break

Hiya guys,
Before I show you my haul I just wanted to let you guys know I will be posting less frequently for the next few months. There are many reasons for this but here are a few.. 1) Too much work load which quite obviously has to come before blogging. 2) I tend to go through phases where I just do one FOTD for a few weeks and then mix it up. 3) I feel like I have every colour that I have wanted to buy where eyeshadows, nail polishes and the like are concerned and will therefore be hauling less. 4) Even though I may have 165 followers I only feel that minimum 10 if you lovely guys actually read what I post. 5) There are many amazing blogs out there so I am sure you won't even notice I'll be blogging less, please check out my favs on my blog roll on the right-hand side of the page :)

I'll still be tweeting and following other bloggers & youtubers to see what they are up to nevertheless! ;) Right now that's over and done with..
First up, I went to LUSH and bought Porridge soap & Fairy Tail scrub for myself. It was my cousin's birthday and I got her Rock Star soap, Porridge soap and Snow Fairy shower gel, as I loved the one that LUSH sent me! I also got Sexy Peel soap to try out.

I then made my way to MAC and got my cousin and I Lustrewhite lustreglass - a clear lipgloss with a bit of sparkle. Seeing as my cousin is not to keen on bright colours etc. I also got her Beaux lustreglass - a beautiful copper brown colour with gold sparkles (I think that's how I remember it to be!) The MA at Westfield was extremely helpful and very patient - Much appreciated! :)

Next I placed my order on Amazon for the Babyliss Thermo-ceramic rollers, which I have wanted for quite a while now! I have tried them once with wet hair, without heating them up and failed miserably.. Will try again later, following the instructions this time!

I also bought some Fendi glasses a while ago and finally got around to taking some (rubbish) pics of them. The main reason why I picked these ones were because of the quilted design on either side of the hand. I also like how they don't have those annoying nose pieces on them ;)

Finally, my lovely friend T got me some MAC Volcanic Ash exfoliator and Xishmei whitening face cream for my birthday! She said it doesn't really whiten the skin but makes it look glowy.. Phew! + It contains real pearls! Oh and I will probably to a review on the MAC exfoliator because it's LOVE :D

Mini Haul

It's been a very long and busy two weeks but I am back.. Again! Main reasons is due to work load and it was my birthday last Saturday so was running around sorting that out! Right, let's get to it..
Natalya (filthygorgeousmakeup) had a blog sale a few days ago and so I purchased a brand new OPI nail polish, 'Lunch at the Delhi', for £5! The pic is true to colour so I won't wreck my brain trying to think of a description :)

I also went to Boots a week or two ago and purchased a few bits and bobs which entitled me to a
£5 off Boots voucher on No7 so I purchased their Stay Perfect nail colour in 'Milan'. Nail polish for £1.25, why not?! :D I found it very hard to capture the colours on camera as the colour seems to constantly vary! I would describe it as a pinky/red/purple cranberry colour with tons of silver glitters? Bit of a struggle to get off but worth it ;)

While I was at Boots I picked up the full size can of Batiste blush dry shampoo after giving up searching for the new black dry shampoo they have brought out. I wish I picked up the travel size to try out though as I am not to keen on the scent and much prefer the tropical one. I also saw the Ms Makeup brush I had been planning on buying for a while now and finally saw it and got my hands on it! Words can not describe how soft this brush feels and it's dirt cheap too at
£3.99 :)

Major Review: The Body Shop Eyeshadows!

First up for review are The Body Shop's Eye Colours that were sent to me around June'ish (sorry for the delay)! I adore these lil' beauties and have depotted the ones I use the most & love and have the given the rest to my fellow make-up mate as they were to light for me! I only feel comfortable using the light colours as inner corner colours, as it suits me the better that way, so thought they would be better of with her - She's MAC NC25 btw :)
What I like about The Body Shop's eye colours are the high pigmentation, how silky soft they feel when applied to the eyelids (almost like a light cream - it's all powder though) and how easy they are to depot.. And they fit into MAC palette's! Out of 5, I would give these an 4 - I feel they could increase the variety of colours that they have and the packaging is a little bit cheap (a bit cute though, don't get me wrong!). I would definitely recommend them to a friend!

Price: £7.80
Size: 1.4g
The Eye Colours:

Along with the Eye Colours I was presented with the Shimmer Cubes in 18, which is a special edition. As far as I know, this is still available for you to purchase in-store and online. I have mixed feelings with this product; the really light colour, Pearly White, makes a great inner corner colour. Both Precious Pink and Green Shimmer however, seem to leave glitters/shimmers behind and not much colour when swatched/applied wet and dry. I do however enjoy using Silver Sparkle for a smokey eye look - I did a FOTD using this a while ago which you can view here. The Shimmer Cubes get a 2.5 out of 5 from me. This is just my opinion remember, a lot of people like this product but for me, there is just too much shimmer and not enough colour. Please do swatch and see for yourself though :)

Price: £15.65
Size: Each little cube is 3.5g - Plenty of product to justify the price!

Finally, we have the Eye Trio's which we were given at the The Body Shop event in August! Getting straight to the point here (you've all probably had enough and are not even reading this lol); fantastic pigmentation, silky soft like their eye colours and make a great base to emphasise other eyeshadows! I love using the dark blue colour in the Moonlight Lustre trio to bring out the blueness of MAC's Deep Truth! Same applies for the Sundown Glow trio, been using this at least 2/3 times a week since I've received it.. I don't know if you can tell from the pic but there is a great big dip in the dark brown colour because I have been using it sooo much! Since I got this trio I also seem to be using the highlighter which comes with the trio as it is simply highly convenient :) I am going to give the eye trio's 4.5 out of 5 as I can't depot them and the colours should be evenly spread out (there's too little of the bronze colour).. Hard to please, I know :)

Price: £9.50
Size: 6g

Hope at least a few of you have read through 'all' of this.. It took my nearly 3 hours to put this all together so a HUGE thank-you if you did! xXx
